Honda launches the CB300R in India; Priced at INR 2.41 Lakhs

Honda has launched the much-awaited CB300R to enter the middleweight motorcycle segment and its second Neo Sports Café offering in India. The motorcycle has been launched at the price of INR 2.41 Lakhs.[gallery size="full" ids="7477,7476"]The Neo-Sports Café family is Honda’s ultra-modern minimalistic take on the timeless roadster design. The CB300R is inspired by its powerful sibling CB 1000R Neo Sports Café which was originally showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show 2017. The CB300R receives a modern and minimalist styling, mixing café racer inspirations with a super-compact ‘trapezoid’ form. It is the combined effect of the impressive design features that make the CB300R look unique.[gallery size="full" ids="7471,7472,7467,7466,7468,7469,7473,7474"]Powering the sport-naked is a  286cc, liquid-cooled, four-valve, single-cylinder DOHC motor that is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. This engine makes 30.4hp at 8,000rpm and 27.4Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The motorcycle comes with a 10-liter tank to keep this engine fueled up. While the numbers may not look outrageous, what is outrageous is the motorcycle's weight. At just 147 kg, the CB300R is the lightest middle-weight in the segment with a Best-in-class torque to power ratio.Suspension duties are carried out a USD fork and a preload-adjustable mono shock while stopping is looked after a four-piston caliper at the front and a single-piston unit at the rear with wavy disc brakes and IMU-based dual-channel ABS. The IMU action gives the uniform front to rear distribution of ABS operation and maintains the stability of the vehicle even during sudden brake application.[gallery size="full" ids="7485,7484"]To reduce maintenance costs, the engine is also designed with the minimum number of moving parts. Details like the low-friction piston rings, high-density core radiator, and iridium spark plug help increase fuel efficiency. The CB300R comes in two rich colours - Matte Axis Gray Metallic & Candy Chromosphere Red.
